Hello, I'm Renée!
Connecting with nature has been as natural to me as breathing as far back as I can remember. I was one of the last of the "free range" kids who loved being outside; I'd be catching tadpoles and frogs at the local pond, building dams in nearby creeks, and running around with the other neighborhood kids. I have since spent time in wild places all over the world and read countless books on health, personal and spiritual development, and nature reconnection. My practice is deeply inspired by the Japanese traditions of shinrin-yoku, wabi-sabi, and ikigai.
I am a healing artist and intuitive guide, completing my certification with the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership. I started my professional career by creating visuals for clients as a graphic designer, but after my mother was diagnosed with a fatal disease and my own subsequent experience with chronic illness, my focus shifted to alternative healing. I went on to study herbalism at the School of Evolutionary Herbalism, as well as completing Reiki attunements for Level I and II with Reiki Master Erika Spring. I also founded Artemisia Elixir Bar, a pop-up herbal elixir bar based in the Pacific Northwest.
I now offer 1:1 mindful outdoor esperiences within upstate NY to help people connect with nature, their own bodies, and their own inner wisdom. I help people feel seen, validated, accepted, and cared for within a safe container, embraced by the surrounding natural world.
My sessions can incorporate nature connection, somatic exercises, meditation, mindful inquiry, music, art therapy, journaling, plant and animal education, folklore, oracle card divination, and tea ceremony (depending on what is needed in the moment). You can expect to go through a self-discovery process, while at the same time, experiencing magic, miracles, and fun!
Every session and chosen location are entirely unique based on the individual, shaped by the initial intake. A 30 minute follow up integration call is held a week after the session to discuss any remaining impressions or suggested homework.
Optional add-on experiences include tea ceremony with a custom tea blend, learning the basics of fire-making, and guided nature journaling and sketching.
